I was down in San Diego to visit my daughter Mischa Sepulveda and my nephew Brandon stationed at MCAS Miramar. Of course my old freind and bandmate Stacy Wilson let me crash at his place.

Brandon is headed to the sandbox very soon and his dad Vic was hosting a BBQ out at the base. Stacy was playing a house party in La Jolla later that evening and invited us all. No guest list, no hired security. Just a bunch of incredibly wealthy Deadheads that embraced our jarheads warmly.

"Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men."

Next day, everybody saying our goodbyes at the IHOP I realized that the food and beer tasted just as good in base housing as it does in a mansion overlooking a private beach. Genrosity abounds on all levels.
