Zombie Outbreak Reaches Grapevine
My friend Lisa from Castaic sent me some photos of last night's Zombie Be-In down there. Up here in Clovis we are still safe, the only zombies sighted were all staggering around the intersections and crosswalks promoting a Halloween Megastore over by the mall. I drove another block and spied a lone zombie limping across the intersection. This guy was older than the others and his clothes were clean and pressed. No blood or gore anywhere, but I gave him extra bonus points for the withered arm.

I need to get Lisa posting here, she takes better pictures than I do. The Dwight pics came out real bad. We were sitting so far back and the security people were being real jerks. I was seriously concerned Mrs. Sepulveda's straight razor was going to make an appearance.
Dwight played the strangest set the other night. He does so many covers it was almost like being in a huge honky tonk only with Dwight Yoakum singing all the Dwight Yoakum songs. He did the valley proud with a great Buck Owens medley, then later in the show he went into a totally off-the-cuff Merle Haggard medley that he brought to a grinding halt right in the middle of "Lonesome Fugitive" saying "I think we've tortured Merle long enough"
He sold that show out though and the ladies absolutely love the guy, screaming for joy every time he pole danced around his guitar, his mike stand, the bass player's mike stand, the double bass laying on the stage...
See you in Shaky Town good buddy looks like we got us a convoy
